  5. Syntax: MAKEMSG -c<contents_file> [-d<dir>] -s<sendingnode>
  6.                 [-r<receivingnode>] [-p] [-!] [-k] [-h]
  7.  
  8.         -C = Contents file. This is the file to make into a message.
  9.              The file must contain on the first three lines a TO:, FROM:
  10.              and a SUBJECT: header with appropriate info, otherwise MAKEMSG
  11.              will abort.
  12.         -D = Directory to make the message in. If this option is not given,
  13.              MAKEMSG assumes that the message is to be created in the
  14.              current.
  15.              directory. ALL messages start with 2.MSG and up.
  16.         -S = Sending node. This is your node number, excluding Zone
  17.              address.
  18.         -R = Receiving node. If this is to be a netmail message, MAKEMSG
  19.              needs to know which address the message is intended for.
  20.              Excluding Zone address. (MAKEMSG is not Zone aware!)
  21.         -! = Makes message Crash.
  22.         -P = Makes message Private.
  23.         -K = Kill message after sending.
  24.         -H = This help screen.

  26.         NOTE: Options in square brackets [] are optional.

  28. A typical command line might look like the following if you were placing a
  29. message into an Echo area:

  31. MAKEMSG -cCXLRULES.DOC -dC:\BINK\MAIL\LD\CXL -s134/21
  32.  
  33. This takes a file called CXLRULES.DOC and converts it to a proper message
  34. in the C:\BINK\MAIL\LD\CXL subdirectory. The message will show that it
  35. originated from 134/21. Make sure the text file is an ASCII file and has no
  36. formatting such as WordPerfect, MicroSoft Word or any other popular word
  37. processing program might use for it's own purposes.

  39. If you were to send Netmail messages, the command line might look like
  40. this:

  42. MAKEMSG -cANNOUNCE.DOC -dC:\BINK\MAIL\MATRIX -s134/21 -r134/0 -p -k
  43.  
  44. This takes the file ANNOUNCE.DOC and converts it to a proper message in the
  45. C:\BINK\MAIL\MATRIX subdirectory. The message will show that it originated
  46. from 134/21 and it will be sent to the 134/0 node. The file will have an
  47. attribute of PRIVATE [-p] (this is optional) and the file will also be
  48. deleted by your regular mailer [-k].
